Journey Through the Chakras

Class Level: Open to all levels (Beginner to Advanced)

Focus: Energy Balance, Mindful Movement, and Inner Alignment

Course Overview

Embark on a profound journey inward with our Journey Through the Chakras series. In this class, we step beyond the purely physical practice of yoga to explore your subtle anatomy—the seven primary energy centers running from the base of your spine to the top of your head.

Each session is mindfully designed to clear stagnant energy, restore internal balance, and connect your physical movement with your emotional and spiritual well-being. By pairing specific yoga postures (asanas), breathwork (pranayama), and targeted meditations, you will learn to recognize where you hold tension and how to consciously release it.

What We Will Explore:

  1. The Root (Muladhara): Build your foundation. We focus on grounding standing poses and deep hip openers to cultivate a sense of safety, stability, and calm.
  2. The Sacral (Svadhisthana): Awaken your fluidity. Through fluid, rolling movements and creative sequencing, we tap into your emotional center, passion, and artistic expression.
  3. The Solar Plexus (Manipura): Ignite your inner fire. Expect a core-focused, energizing practice designed to build strength, confidence, and personal willpower.
  4. The Heart (Anahata): Expand your capacity for love. We utilize gentle backbends and chest-opening postures to invite compassion, forgiveness, and deep emotional healing.
  5. The Throat (Vishuddha): Find your voice. Through neck releases, shoulder openers, and intentional chanting or breathwork, we clear the path for honest self-expression and clear communication.
  6. The Third Eye (Ajna): Trust your intuition. A quieter, more introspective practice featuring forward folds and balancing shapes to calm the mind and access your inner wisdom.
  7. The Crown (Sahasrara): Connect to the whole. We conclude with restorative shapes, inversion variations, and extended meditation to experience a sense of universal connection and pure awareness.

What to Expect

Each class begins with a brief introduction to the specific chakra of the day, followed by an intentional physical flow tailored to stimulate that energy center. We wrap up every practice with a specialized meditation or sound integration during Savasana.

Note: No prior knowledge of the chakra system or advanced yoga experience is required. Bring an open mind, a yoga mat, and a willingness to explore your practice from the inside out.
